The first blog post! I think a fitting tribute to Pan Am and our long-lived gratitude and affection for our past.
We all gathered in mid-January for a gala event at the Air Hollywood venue-- a perfect mock-up of the check-in counter and the 747. Flight 120 was our London flight out of Los Angeles, and I worked that one many times!
Here I am wearing my uniform for the very first time in over 20 years! It was so exciting putting that on (had to improvise some of the uniform pieces). I don't have the names of everyone, but the Captain and his beautiful "stewardess" to his left, is his wife! I am sure they met on one of our legendary Clippers. And on the far left, our very own Phillip Keene, of the popular television show, Major Crime, fame.
We sure had a talented and outstanding group of employees. I wrote Life, Love, and a Hijacking to memorialize our most iconic airline, and in appreciation of the wonderful experiences shared with these special people.
