Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself - George Bernard Shaw

Destined to be a traveler...
Ever since I can remember wanting anything, I’ve wanted to travel. My fifth grade composition, “What I Want Most in My Life,” detailed the need for $200,000 so “I CAN GO AROUND THE WORLD.” I wrote that “curiosity killed the cat,” and I wanted to make sure curiosity never killed me. Therefore, if I saw everything there was to see, there would be no danger of curiosity killing me! Perfect logic for a ten-year-old child. --from Chapter 9, Life, Love, and a Hijacking: My Pan Am Memoir
Pan Am made the dream happen...
After pursuing my degree at the University of Arizona, I became a flight attendant for the world's most iconic airline, Pan Am. My rich and amazing career included many wonderful adventures, discoveries, and life lessons. I wrote my personal memoir to memorialize a time in aviation like no other in history. What a privilege to be part of such an era!
A bonafide travel expert was made...
Traveling literally opened my eyes up to the world of possibility! After Pan Am, I held on to my airline benefits and worked for Delta, travel forever embedded in my being. Travel was the stepping stone to all things...
Along the way I became an inventor, on-air spokesperson, and a product entrepreneur. I have appeared on QVC and other networks hundreds of times, as the on-air spokesperson for the line of travel bags I designed, as well as numerous other products. I now focus mainly on bags and organization...though I can't resist any good idea!
A New Chapter: Health Advocacy
When I sought a preventative surgeries for a BRCA2 diagnosis ( ovary removal and a double mastectomy), I had no way of knowing that my surgeon, my husband's colleague, would use a device on me in an experimental way, without my consent or knowledge. He was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by Allergan to study and promote this device. I am now working with the California legislature for a Disclosure of Financial Conflicts of Interests law, in the hopes of preventing what happened to me happening to others. We're making progress!
